Xbox announced several new titles coming to its Game Pass subscription service this year. In its Tokyo Game Show segment held on Thursday, the publisher confirmed that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be available for free to members on day one, i.e. on November 9. In it Kazama Kiryu, the famous yakuza who fakes his death to protect his family, once again dons the black suit and works as a bodyguard with the codename ‘Joryu’. His cover is soon jeopardized when a mysterious figure with ties to his past comes to haunt him, sparking a frenzy on the streets of Japan as we weave through the crowds.

Then, Like a Dragon: Ishin! Get ready to travel to 1860s Japan with, the coming Xbox Game Pass sometime this year. Don the clothes and weapons of the venerable lone samurai Sakamoto Ryoma to clear your name from murder and, in turn, restore the honor of your family’s legacy. Block incoming bullets with your katana, cut down opponents, and feed your enemies red hot pickles in this epic adventure that was deemed impossible to port by developer Ryu ga Gotoku Studio. For the uninitiated, this Yakuza game was released on PC and consoles earlier this year, and now the introduction of Game Pass allows members to play it for free.

Microsoft’s efforts to purchase SEGA may not have been successful, but the latter continues to have its titles available for easy access on Xbox Game Pass. Also arriving on the service on day one – November 17 – is the chibi-style Persona 5 Tactica, which sets the Phantom Thieves in a bizarre medieval Europe-inspired realm whose citizens thrive under the vigilante tyrannical oppression of Legionnaires. In addition to its turn-based battle system that relies on planning, the game also brings a new Quest system – a set of special stages that offer rewards in exchange for completing them. Persona 5 Tactica will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Meanwhile, the long-awaited Persona 3 remake arrives on February 2, 2024, putting you in the shoes of a transfer student tasked with investigating the ‘Dark Hour’.

The original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is coming to Xbox Game Pass next week on September 26th, so you can take on the tough investigation and fight to save your clients in a courtroom battle. All 14 episodes of the first three games – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials & Tribulations – are included in this package. Another highlight was Forza Motorsport – on October 10 – showcasing its Japanese Hakone race track, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossom trees.

We also took a look at Mineko’s Night Market, an adorable social simulation game that lets you uncover the secrets behind the legendary Sun Cat Nikko, who has been seen many times at the base of Mount Fugu. Solve puzzles, create unique objects to survive and make your cat compete in races. It is available on October 26 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Next up is the release of Euden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on April 23, 2024 – a classic JRPG experience where you lead over 100 playable characters across the war-torn land of Aleran.
